Now I am a person

In April 2007 I travelled to South Africa to visit the Umthombo project which works with street children in Durban. I was there to help them find ways to tell the stories of the children who live in doorways, on skatepark ramps and under trees. This little book of photographs, with stories of the children in their own words, is the result of that journey.

Now I am a person is published by Ratiotype and was launched in April 2008 with a reception for Umthombo at 11 Downing Street.
